Neste Oil satified with the sustainability approach of its palm oil supplier, IOI 12.04.2010

Neste Oil and the management of its palm oil supplier, the IOI Group, have discussed IOI’s responses to the allegations made in the Milieudefensie and Friends of the Earth Europe report ‘Too Green to be True’. Neste Oil is satisfied with IOI’s position, its sustainability practices, and its respect for the law. IOI has been a Neste Oil supplier since 2007.

The Milieudefensie and Friends of the Earth Europe report accused IOI of unsustainable and illegal practices in its subsidiary based in Indonesia.

Neste Oil is committed to the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and the principles that the organization stands for. Neste Oil also values the role that the RSPO can play as a forum for settling possible disagreements between different parties in the palm oil field.
