Neste Oil rises by ten places in the preferred employer table

Neste Oil, which emphasizes responsible, innovative operations, appeals to professionals to a greater extent in both technology and business. In a survey implemented by Universum to find the preferred employers of professionals in 2013, Neste Oil shared sixth place with Outotec. This is ten positions higher than last year.

"We are pleased about this accomplishment. This excellent position shows that we are doing the right things and can also communicate them in a credible way from the viewpoint of employees. Neste Oil's strategy for cleaner traffic has helped the company achieve financial success, and this is reflected outside the company as a strong attitude of making things happen," says Sanna Kauppi, the director responsible for Neste Oil's staff development.

The sustainable development message of leading companies highlighted in the survey is important to professionals and is regarded as a credible message for the future. A preferred employer is diverse and provides a competitive salary and challenging work. Challenging work results in a working environment which allows people to continuously learn. The opportunity for varied work tasks is considered to be essential for personal development. Broad development of personal skills results in confidence in the permanence of the person's career. Experiencing one's work as significant is on the rise, too.

The survey was taken by 7,273 professionals with a university or polytechnic degree, and the total number of employer evaluations was 20,260. The average respondent has ten years of work experience and is 38 years old.
