Neste Oil’s Head Office to switch off its lights as part of Earth Hour

News

Neste Oil will take part in this year’s Earth Hour organized by WWF on Saturday, 29 March between 8.30 and 9.30 pm, by switching off the lights at its Head Office in Espoo. The lights were switched off at Head Office during Earth Hour last year as well.

“Climate change is a challenge for all of us, and by taking part in this symbolic gesture we want to show our commitment to combating the phenomenon,” says Simo Honkanen, Neste Oil's Senior Vice President, Sustainability and HSSE. “It also reflects our continuous efforts to minimize our environmental impact and use resources efficiently in all of our operations.”

Organized by WWF, Earth Hour is the world’s largest climate event aimed at drawing people’s attention to global warming. Millions of people around the world take part in Earth Hour.

Neste Oil’s Head Office is also part of WWF’s Green Office program, a proactive initiative designed to reduce the ecological footprint and greenhouse gas emissions of offices.
