Neste creates solutions for mitigating climate change and accelerating a shift to a circular economy. The company enables its customers to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. Neste refines waste, residues and other renewable raw materials to high-quality renewable fuels at its refineries located on three continents. The company’s annual renewable fuels production capacity will be increased to 6.8 million tons in 2027. 

Neste has high standards for sustainability and the company has consistently been recognized by several leading sustainability indices. In 2024, Neste's revenue stood at EUR 20.6 billion.

A number of third parties assess the sustainability of our operations using various assessments. Neste is included in the multiple ESG ratings and indices.

CDP

In 2025, Neste received a 'B' rating in the CDP’s Climate Change and Forests assessments, and a 'C' rating in the Water Security assessment. For years, CDP has recognized Neste for its actions to mitigate climate change and prevent deforestation.

MSCI ESG Rating Index

Neste reached AAA rating in 2024 in MSCI ESG Rating Index. MSCI ESG Ratings aim to measure a company's resilience to long-term ESG risks. Companies are scored on an industry-relative AAA-CCC scale across the most relevant key issues based on a company's business model. MSCI Inc. is one of the world’s largest providers of ESG Indexes.

S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook

High-quality refining assets

We produce high-quality renewable fuels at our refineries in Porvoo, Finland, Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Singapore as well as through our joint operation with Marathon Petroleum in Martinez, California, entirely from renewable raw materials with an annual nameplate capacity of approximately 5.5 million tons.

Our diverse crude oil based products are refined in Porvoo. In addition, our plant in Sluiskil, the Netherlands, is specialized in pre-treatment of renewable raw materials for our renewable products refineries.
